Pooch Pool Party
Annual event, volunteers needed for the event each year (date depends on Nashville Shores season as the Pooch Pool Party is the Saturday after their official season ending) The event is very very dog heavy. Event has 100s of dogs in play at all times. Volunteers are NOT allowed to bring personal pets to the Pooch Pool Party while they are volunteering. Volunteers need to be comfortable around dogs on and off leash (majority of the dogs at the event are off leash for most of the day) Volunteers need to be comfortable with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes and energy levels ***There are no breed restrictions for this event, all friendly dogs with proof of a current rabies vaccine are welcome. Volunteers will be in the open weather, full sun at times, with limited to no shade Volunteers are encouraged to wear water friendly shoes and attire. In the past, most volunteers have worn running type tennis shoes, water shoes or Keen type sandals. Volunteers may be assigned to help in the water (lazy river, zero entry pool, splash pad area) Volunteers may be assigned to help hold/contain dogs to assist owners when they are completing waiver to enter the park There may be some information to cover before volunteering but it is limited to things such as how to put a lead onto a dog, how to distract dogs that may be getting overexcited, how to redirect a dog --
