Family Retreat for families affected by disability.
Joni and Friends Nashville is delighted that we have more than doubled the number of families affected by disability who want to participate in our Family Retreat July 21-25! Family Retreat West Tennessee | Joni and Friends
We need more volunteers/short-term missionaries to serve these wonderful families. Right now, we have 5 families affected by disability on a waitlist, and we can only fully accept them as participants when we have more volunteers signed up.
We’re specifically looking for:
- Photographer
- Nurse
- AV/tech person
- Buddies – A buddy is a person (17+) who connects with and helps either a child/young person affected by disability or one of the siblings who don’t live with a disability. (No volunteer will ever be given a challenge they don’t feel comfortable with!)

Absolutely no experience or education with special needs ministry is required. Come with an open heart, be ready to serve, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know to have a life-changing experience at Family Retreat! All volunteers arrive on Sunday, July 20, for a day of training.
